Packing and the 311 Rule (Carry on bag) What is the 311 Rule?
It simply means each passenger can bring ONE sandwich size zip-lock bag with liquids, gels, aerosols, creams, lotions, and pastes. Must be 3.4 ounces or less each container within the zip-lock bag.
Example Below:
Carry on Bag:
When packing your carry on bag it's ideal not to over pack it with electronics. When packing your electronics avoid packing them all in one spot try to spread them throughout the bag.
Laptops in Standard Lane:
When packing your laptop and going through the Standard lane, make sure to make it easily accessible as it will need to be removed going through the x-ray.
Liquids, Gels, Aerosols, Creams, Lotions, AKA(311 rule):
Best to pack this in outside pocket that is easily accessible. In standard lane this will need to be removed.
Please ensure all your bags are placed on the conveyor belt-DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS ON TABLE.
New changes are coming and the ideal plan would be to avoid bringing a carrying on at all, but if you must, please avoid as much food and electronics as possible or put them in your checked luggage.
